If you buy Keurig’s device, you will get fast machine with dishwasher safe parts. Also, every drink will have beautiful taste, and it will be made within few minutes. However, you should know that frothing cup needs to be cleaned after every use and you might have a hard time reattaching it, so if the patient is not your strong suit you should consider buying a different model.

Another thing to have in mind is that this device uses real, liquid milk instead of milk powder, which is great advantage. Unfortunately, many of my friends who purchased this product complained about its short life span. It usually breaks after few months of usage. This might be one of the reasons why Keurig stopped manufacturing it.

How To Clean Your Keurig Coffee Maker?

Now that you’ve met the company and its brands and read the reviews you should know that there is another topic to be addressed. The frightening plastic smell and taste that comes out of new brewer. You should be aware that this problem is not characteristic only for Keurig coffee makers. It is not even specific for coffee makers in general. You can find this taste and smell in any new product that has something to do with food or drinks, and it is made of plastic.

However, people who purchase these products seem to struggle with this problem more often than they should. It can be solved in few simple steps. Pay attention.

When your Keurig coffee maker arrives, unpack it and before using it to make coffee, make a little effort to clean it properly. For starters, fill the reservoir with hot water but leave enough space for three more cups because you’ll be adding other liquids.

Next, add a half cup of unscented bleach plus two and a half cups of distilled white vinegar. Let it soak until the mixture cools off.

When this is done, wash the reservoir with any dish soap you like. After that, fill ¾ of the tank again but this time using filtered water and two cups of white distilled vinegar. Remember, do not put a pod into brewer yet, but run the mixture through the system until the reservoir is empty.

Fill it again, but only with filtered or bottled water and run it through the system. Keep repeating this step until there is no longer vinegar smell coming out of the hot water in the cup.

After this thorough cleaning process, your coffee maker should be ready for use.

Our Decision
